Gardening is for everyone
This is an inclusive space. Everyone is welcome! That being said, we will not accept hatred or bigotry in our online spaces or at events. We believe Black Lives Matter and LGBTQIA2S+ people are family. We strive to make gardening accessible to people of every race, class, creed, citizenship status, and ability level.
We care about keeping our community healthy and safe and think masking is cool. We ask that anyone who is experiencing symptoms of illness wear a mask or just stay home. We promise there will be more opportunities.
Description of the garden space:
There are no stairs. Easy access to the garden area is through the back alleyway. We will have two parking spots in the alley for folks with disability parking permits. Otherwise parking is on the street, but feel free to use the alleyway as a drop-off/pick-up zone.
The terrain in the yard is lumpy and bumpy with grass and bark chips. We will provide some seating at all events. If there is rain, we will provide a pop-up canopy for shelter, hot herbal tea, and a fire pit for warming. There is restroom access in the house, but there are five stair steps required to enter the house.
